-3 – 4pm. The World of Reality and Dreams: A social approach to Don
Quixote by Dr. Gustav Helman.
“Don Quixote” is a masterpiece of world literature that appeals to
children and to adults. Among the topics that this presentation will cover
are Don Quixote and the world of dreams and Sancho Panza and its barren
and bleak reality. Dr. Gustav Helman has been teaching for the past 15
years in different institutions around the world, as well as doing
research in cultural studies. He is currently teaching Spanish at
Mont´Kiara International School in Kuala Lumpur

-4 – 5.30pm. Movie screening: Don Quixote 1.
Adventures abound for Don Quixote and his loyal down-to-earth squire,
Sancho Panza. This series, the first cartoon animation adaptation ever
made of the novel, is an exceptional classic whose human values and
delightful humour is readily understood and enjoyed by viewers of all ages.
The movie is in Spanish with English subtitles.

In commemoration of the IV Centenary of the First Edition of “Don
Quijote de La Mancha”, the Embassy of Spain, Aula Cervantes and MPH invite
you all to participate in the 1st Public Reading of “Don Quixote” in
Malaysia.
We are looking for 100 readers in Bahasa Melayu, English and Spanish.
