Dr. Thitinan received his BA from the University of California, Santa
Barbara and MA from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International
Studies, Washington, DC. His PhD thesis at the London School of Economics
and Political Science, which focused on the political economy of Tahiland's
economic crisis of 1997, was awarded the United Kingdom's Best Dissertation
Prize in Comparative and International Politics. It also won the National
Research Council of Thailand's Dissertation Prize in Political Science and
is due to be published soon.
