When it comes to sex, the church just can't beat it. People will and continue to enjoy the pleasure of intercourse in every imaginable way regardless of what the church says. Having been a church-goer for many years and listening to all the discussions and interpretation of the bible, the people who do it are either very naive, ignorant or feel the need to justify that they will be going to heaven while the rest are condemned to hell. I have come to realise that even the most inspiring person in the church often grasps desperately and seek ways to bolster the arguments they have received when they first heard the Gospel. It is both sad and funny. Anyway, found this story on the Net and I am extremely certain that the "Daddy" in this story fits the description of some of the men in the church I go to and other churches. I came from a Christian family and have become on in my adolescent.
Coming from a background as conservative as her, I was fortunate that my own family are not as zealous in comparison to some of the families I knew (and I wonder why as I thought there was something wrong with us). In retrospect, though I have to now struggle in rethinking all those values and ideas I have been conditioned to from a young age, I do not suffer from as massive hangups that I find so much in my Christian peers, though that does not mean I have none! So much for teaching women to be submissive....pah. But do they talk to us about sex, sexuality and men and women's role in sex? NO!!! They think their little lambs growing up in the church are such innocent naive creatures who have no bodies, no minds and no sex. Perhaps while thinking that, they go around fucking others.
All we have been feed with is the kind of biases and narrowmindedness of the church leaders.
Dissent and you will be fed to the Hell Fire.
I have not evangelised for a long while because I feel myself a hyprocite, bringing unsuspecting victims to further repression and guilt. I still believe in God and the Holy Trinity. But I am beginning to think that HE is not what all those religious books like Us to think of Him as.
Can't one have good values outside religion? Why is it that Malaysia's constitution insists that one be NOT religiousless? Maybe it has to do with the stereotypical fear of Communist influence.
For a long time, I have been afraid to say this, in fear that I might be castigated. I don't give a damn anymore. I am still a prude in many ways, due to my upbringing.
